What You Should Know
BiltRite wants everyone who works with us to understand what we do and how we do it. From answering questions to detailing our home inspection process, we want to build a connection with you.
BiltRite works with you to guarantee quality for every stage of your new build or existing home. To schedule an inspection, we will need to submit our license and insurance info to your builder’s representative for site access approval.
BiltRite is the go-to home inspector for a reason.
Pre-Slab Inspections
The first stage of every build is creating the slab your home will use as it’s foundation. BiltRite makes sure to verify the foundation, building pad, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC before the concrete is poured. Typically, we schedule this inspection before the slab is set to be poured by the builder.
Pre-Drywall Inspections
After your concrete slab has been successfully poured and the framework for your future home has been placed, your next step is a pre-drywall inspection. This inspection looks at your major systems items such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and roof as well as framing and building envelope. Our inspections schedule this before the drywall is set for installation.
Pre-Closing Inspections
You are nearing the end of the home building process, and BiltRite is ready for your pre-closing inspection. We come in and do a full home inspection that checks the same major system items as the pre-drywall phase as well as all other components throughout the interior and exterior. This inspection is set before your final walk through with your builder.
11-Month Warranty Inspections
Before the expiration of your builder’s warranty, it is important to go through our 11-month warranty inspection. The process for this inspection is the same as pre-closing to determine any areas that should be addressed by the builder’s warranty prior to expiration.
